Born in 1955 in Melaka, Ismail Latiff is a titan of Malaysian abstract art, renowned for his ethereal and vibrant "dreamscapes." A graduate of the Mara Institute of Technology (UiTM) with further experience in the advertising industry, Latiff transitioned into fine arts to explore the spiritual and mystical dimensions of the Southeast Asian landscape. His signature style is instantly recognizable by the presence of a "circle" or "moon" at the center of his compositions, symbolizing ultimate balance and cosmic harmony.
